Two remarkable plays alternating over 4 nights presented in an “elaborated” staged reading format, showcasing the essence of storytelling with minimal sets, props, and costumes, focusing entirely on the powerful dialogue and rich performances of the actors.
"Halfway There" by Norm Foster is a charming and insightful play that delves into the lives of its characters as they navigate their personal and collective crossroads. The story explores themes of hope, redemption, and the surprising twists life can take, all with Foster's signature wit and warmth.
"Pie in the Sky" by Lawrence Thelen is a delightful comedy that presents a humorous and heartwarming look at the pursuit of dreams and the quirky paths that lead to them. Thelen's script offers a delightful blend of laughter and introspection, making it an evening of both entertainment and thoughtfulness.

This compelling event presents
"PANIC IN CONNECTICUT: ACCUSED WITCHES HAVE THEIR SAY"
and
"THE LAST NIGHT," both of which offer a dramatic glimpse into the past and the fierce voices of those who suffered under the weight of suspicion and fear.
Through meticulous research and powerful storytelling, playwrights Debra Walsh and Virginia Wolf have crafted these poignant plays to give these silenced voices a chance to be heard once more, bringing them to life in full period costume, embodying the fear, anger, and desperation of these historic figures.

Following the tremendous success of Betsy Maguire’s 2024 production, "The Seat Beside Her," FVSC, in conjunction with Playland Productions, is thrilled to present "The Seat Beside Her: 2."
This highly anticipated sequel will take the stage for an inspiring series of performances on March 7, 8, and 9, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
"The Seat Beside Her: 2" promises to captivate audiences with an evening of all-new one-act plays, each crafted to spotlight compelling women from both history and contemporary times. These plays will be presented as staged readings, offering a unique and intimate experience as they bring these remarkable women into conversation with each other.
In addition to the performances, audiences will have the opportunity to participate in a brief talk-back session following each reading, providing a space for dialogue and reflection on the themes and stories presented.
